After touching on an exploration in the last bought of my photography work for uni, I have recently become more and more intrigued and enthusiastic about feminism (ironically, around the same time as I found myself a boyfriend. Social life, meet my mind). The more I watch and read, the more the following becomes apparent to me:
1. It is something I have been living my whole life
2. I know almost nothing about it.
I have since been educating myself, which is not only fun to do, but now that I'm on my summer break, gives me a great reason to keep busy. I've found that there are actual names for things that I thought were only apparent to me. for example;
internalised mysogyny. Makes sense, right?
Anyway. Tonight I found this awesome video on TED (which, if you haven't already, is well worth a look whatever kind of mood you're in). This girl is FIFTEEN, yet makes so much sense. Her last point in particular I feel is extremely relevant and profound.
