Last week, I spent a few days in Newcastle with my dad's family, including my lovely and gorgeous 4year old cousin Amy. One evening, we were watching cartoons with her in the evening before she went to bed- which, obviously, I wasn't expecting to be any monumental event. But I was was totally stopped in my tracks when this beautiful animation, Lost and Found came on:
The story, based on the children's book by Oliver Jeffers, won a Bafta in 2009, and it's not difficult to see why. It is honestly one of the best things I have ever seen- heart warming, visually stimulating and exquisitely put together- with the characters mute but a narration running the whole way through. I honestly couldn't recommend this more... it's only 30 minutes long, but the story is so wonderful, and I don't even think the trailer does it enough justice!!! I will definitely be on the hunt for this on DVD and the original children's book (which I have had a sneak peek of online, and has the most beautiful illustrations)
A total must see, I promise you will love it!!!
